Your First 30 Days on The Pattern Cloud

30-Day Studio Launch Pad to help you get off to a strong start

Written by Veronica Paredes Sandoval

Launching your Pattern Cloud storefront is about more than getting your website live. The goal is to create a storefront that is ready for customers, ready to sell, and actively supporting your studio’s business.

That’s why we’ve created this 30-Day Studio Launch Pad to help you get off to a strong start.

30-Day Success = Your studio is live, stocked, sellable and reaching buyers.

By the end of your first 30 days, aim to have:

  • 🏪 Get your storefront live

  • 💳 Set up your payment

  • 🎨 Build your online collection

  • 👥 Give your customers access

  • 📣 Promote your storefront

Week 1: Build Your Storefront

Your first week is all about getting the foundations in place.

✨ Complete your storefront

Add your studio branding, logo, information and contact details, and review your storefront settings.

Before moving on, browse your storefront as if you were one of your customers. Does it feel complete and representative of your studio?

Your checklist:

  • Complete your storefront branding, studio information and settings

  • Activate your domain

  • Review and set your design pricing

  • Connect your payment account

  • Explore The Design Agent (TDA) and consider how TPC fits alongside any existing agent relationships

✅ Milestone: Your storefront is live and ready to sell.

Read our The Pattern Cloud User’s Manual: Starter Guide to learn how to set up and configure your website.

Week 2: Stock Your Storefront

Now it's time to give your customers something exciting to discover.

🎨 Build your online collection

Aim to have a strong selection of your work available from launch. For individual or newer studios, 20–30 designs is a great starting point, while established studios should aim to upload their full current collection.

Showcase a strong selection of work that reflects your studio’s style and gives buyers plenty to discover.

Remember, your storefront should continue to evolve after launch. Keep uploading new work regularly so customers have a reason to return. ✨

Your checklist:

  • Get your collection online — aim for 20–30+ designs if you’re starting out, or your full current collection if you’re an established studio.

  • Check your imagery, files, design information and pricing

  • Test the storefront from the customer's perspective

Keep uploading new work after launch so customers have a reason to come back.

✅ Milestone: Your storefront feels active, current and ready for customers.

Follow our Uploading Your Designs: Bring Your Creations to Life! guide to learn how to upload your designs, map them to product templates, and add your own mockups.

Week 3: Activate Your Customers

A great storefront needs customers!

🤝Bring your customers in

The Pattern Cloud gives you the tools to showcase and sell your work online, but building and maintaining buyer relationships remains an important part of running your studio.

If you’re an established studio, you don’t need to add customers one by one — you can import your existing customer database in one simple step by uploading a CSV file. If you’re just starting out, focus on building your database and adding your first buyer relationships.

Your checklist:

  • Give your existing customers access to your storefront

  • Build your customer database or import your existing database via CSV

  • Create at least one pinboard to share with buyers

For newer studios, aim to activate your first 5–10 customers. For established studios, aim to import your existing customer database and start activating those relationships.

✅ Milestone: Real customers can access, browse and purchase your work.

Week 4: Promote your storefront

Your storefront is live and stocked. Now it's time to bring people to it!

📣 Start sharing your storefront

Share your storefront through at least one of your marketing channels to start bringing buyers in.

Your checklist:

  • Share your storefront through:

    • Email campaign

    • An Instagram post or Story

    • A LinkedIn post

    • Adding your storefront to your email signature

    • Including your storefront link in your regular customer communications

✅ Milestone: You're actively bringing buyers to your storefront.
